Jordi Amat

Born in Barcelona in 1978.
PhD in Hispanic Philology from the Universitat de Barcelona.
His research has focused on the construction and reconstruction of democratic cultures in 20th-century Catalonia and Spain.
Coordinator of El País's Babelia cultural supplement.
He is the author of biographies and essays and has received some of the leading literary prizes awarded to non-fiction works in both Catalan and Spanish.
He is a contributor to various media outlets and a member of the Board of the Cercle d'Economia.
He was editor of El Món de Demà.
