Born in Barcelona in 1967.
PhD in Astrophysics from Rice University (Texas) and Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universitat de Barcelona.
Director of the Computational Social Science Laboratory at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) (since 2023).
President of CODATA (Committee on Data of the International Science Council).
She served as Secretary of Open Government of the Government of Catalonia (2021–2022).
She was Head of University Research Data Management at Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) and Chief Data Science and Technology Officer at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) at Harvard University.
